Expected environmental effects during construction of ponds and wetlands.
The positive environmental effects can be expected from the construction of ponds and wetlands are:
Reduction of nitrogen, partly with the help of bacteria, sedimentation and plant uptake of phosphorus retention by sedimentation retention / degradation of pesticides, metals and other potentially harmful substances, agricultural land and different types of point sources.
increased water storage capacity in the landscape, resulting in counter-effects on water flow water reservoir that can be used for irrigation during the dry season, resulting in less water extraction
from rivers during periods when flows are small, new and restoration of wetlands, which provide valuable habitats for birds, other wildlife and plants, more everyman's legal area and the creation of man attractive recreational areas and in
some cases, living environments with open water, mirrors and re-innovation of natural areas that are positive for the landscape.
