Diversity and interconnections of cultures and social layers

I want to continue mapping the demography of Malmö, to better understand the diversity, flexibility and potential of a cultural "melting pot". My focus will be on Västra Hamnen, and how cultural and social interaction is concidered in the plans for the future. There is big expectations to this new added city center. Malmös main focus is to market the area as an education center with new architecture as symbols of Malmös regenerated identity.It is also importent for the city to market the area as a place with diversity. I want to explore the future a bit; Will Västra Hamnen develope to become a dynamic society that is interconnected with the rest of the city, representing all layers of the society?
